Picture collages

By this time in the school year I have taken tons of pictures of my school kids!
In Kindergarten, there are so many photo opportunities!
So at the end of the year, I put together a picture collage for each child. Each collage is personalized with pictures of them and their classmates.
This weekend I worked on putting together 19 collages! I have used the same picture program the last 2 years to create these collages.
So..you are probably wondering what program I used?

I used Smilebox.
I got to talking to a couple of teachers about Smilebox the other day. The really fun thing that I wanted to share...is that if you go here....
and if you are a teacher...
You can sign up to receive a free premium annual
subscription to Smilebox.
This is one of the FUN perks of being a teacher!!

Ok...so your not a teacher...
You can still register and get the basic Smilebox for free!

I would love to show you a picture of these awesome collages that I made..but I do not share photos of my school kids on line. So you will just have to go and check out all of the neat things that you can create on Smilebox!

I was not paid by Smilebox in any form or fashion for this little advertisement! I just LOVE the fun stuff you can create on there!

Addicted to Ruffled Diaper Covers!!

Have I said how much I LOVE making ruffled diaper covers? Okay..if not, now you know! :) I used the same pattern as before, only this time I made ruffles using ribbon! I made this as a baby shower gift! It is just WAY TOO SWEET!

I think I might try starting an Etsy shop, just so I can sell these cuties! Anyone have any advice or suggestions about selling on Etsy? I have noticed people using Facebook as a means of selling their things? What do ya' think?

Ribbon To Lanyard

Several years ago I looked for a cute Lanyard to use when I am at school. I could not find anything super cute! So I decided to experiment using ribbon to make my own. After a couple of years my old one was looking pretty bad. I just recently made some cute, new ones!

These really are super easy to make!

Keep going....you are almost done!!

See...I told you that was EASY!!!
I sure do LOVE quick and easy crafty projects!!

17 days and counting!

I am so hoping that everyone is still hanging with me! I have 17 more days of school left for the year! I am in CRAZY, BUSY mode right now! I came home last night with every intention of writing the Thankful Thursday post...when I discovered that Blogger was not working.

I was kind of Thankful that Blogger was not working! I ended up chilling out and watching T.V. Okay, so I fell asleep about 5 minutes into what I was watching!
Anyway, it was MUCH needed!

19 crazy, ready to be out of school, Kindergarteners with 17 days of school left will do that to a person!!

Thanks for sticking it out with me! Lots of fun post to come...I promise!!

Blog Award

Last week I was given the Versatile Blogger award by two different bloggers! Can you say WOW!! I was so excited!! I am just so glad that I have readers, let alone being given wonderful awards!

So Thank-you Chels @ Catz In The Kitchen

&

Amy @ Ready Or Not

Here are the rules for receiving this award:

1.) Thank the person who gave you the award and link back to them.

2.) Tell seven things about yourself.

3.) Pay it forward and award the Versatile Blogger to 7 recently discovered new bloggers. (I changed it from 15 to 7...I have seen it done both ways!)

Okay..Here it goes!

Seven things about myself...

1.) I am the person who would rather work by myself than with a group of people. This especially pertains to anything artsy or crafty!

2.) I am NOT a sports fan in any shape or form!

3.) My newest addiction is Cherry Dr. Pepper!

4.) For the most part I have self-taught my self to sew. My mom does help me out when I am having trouble. However, this can be difficult through the phone! She lives 3 hours away!

5.) I would rather bake desserts than cook a meal.

6.)I am horrible at doing laundry! If it were not for my husband we would be in trouble! My multi-tasking falls short here! I tend to forget to move the clothes to the dryer!

and lastly....

7.) I LOVE MY FLIP-FLOPS!!! I hate it when my toes are squished into shoes! UGH! My feet and toes feel so FREE in my flip-flops!

These are the awesome blogs that are receiving this award from me!!

1.Connie @Measured By The Heart

2. Allie @ Miss Lovie

3. Nicolette @ Momnivore's Dilemma

4. Allie @ Next 2 Nothing Crafts

5. Mariesa @ Ten Cow Chick

6. Kristen @ Turning A House Into A Home

7. Amy @ Polkadot Pear

Thanks Again!!!

T-Shirts to Belle Dress

I found this awesome post on one of my favorite blogs! (Homemade By Jill) I think this was one of the first blogs that I would look up daily; years before deciding that I would try out blogging! She actually found the tutorials for this dress here and here.

This dress was super easy and turned out to be the cutest little dress-up dress ever! I used these two yellow T-shirts to create this cute little "Belle" dress!

My daughter loves it! She just turned 3. When I got it finished she said, "That's cute momma!" So sweet! I made it a little big so that way she could play in it for at least a year or two!

Thankful Thursday # 3

This week is Teacher Appreciation Week! Yet, another BIGGIE that I am thankful for! I have the privilege of taking my son to school with me! He is in Kindergarten this year. For those of you who do not know; I teach Kindergarten! I know that most first time parents are terrified of letting go and leaving their babies all day. I am thankful that I know and love each of the 4 other K teachers!

I am so very thankful for my son's K teacher! She is wonderful, caring, loving and firm when needed. She has undoubtedly been the best thing for him! He loves and adores her, which is even better!
Remember this week to THANK a teacher! No gifts needed...just kind, sweet words of appreciation... the BEST gifts a teacher could ever receive!
